Where We Train

When we moved in 2012, we knew there was no better place than to be smack dab in the middle of the Horicon Marsh! The 33,000 acres of freshwater marshes is home to thousands of migratory ducks and geese, which makes for a perfect hunting location, and abundance of training opportunities for the versatile hunting breeds.

We do all of our foundation field work on our 10 acre, fenced in property.  Then as the dog develops we take them back to surrounding fields of over 300 acres.  We believe it’s important to get dogs on new and different types of ground and terrain, and frequently travel off grounds for that exposure.

We spend the month of October in the grouse woods of northern Wisconsin.  This trip is key for young and experienced bird dogs.
